middle school//teenage sex

uh oh, started scanning prints from middle school:

this is a girl I went to middle school with

this is me - I want to print this really large

this is the view from the house I grew up in

this is me (on the far left) at summer camp before the big dance
L to R: me, james (my date), will, molly

there's more...I might post more later.
I don't know what to do with these yet. I know I want to print the one of me
on the bed really large, like 30x40 or something, but we'll see.

OS22

oxbow 2010 - everyone hanging out on the balconies in the sun
I don't think anyone knew I was recording this,
but I'm so glad I did.
I miss this so much.

karaoke in new york city

here's another one:

this past summer I went to visit my cousin in new york. we went to a karaoke bar and I miraculously got in. I put my phone in my back pocket and forgot that I was recording this, which is why it's 18 minutes long. the voices are me and my cousin talking about drinking things and whatever. the karaoke bar had two floors and all of these different private rooms. we were there for a going-away party for these people I had never met. they sang songs that I didn't know the words to. afterwards we got chocolate crepes at 4am. new york is great.

unforgettable

I finally figured out how to upload audio here.
So I made a SoundCloud.
If you click the the link it should take you there.
I decided to start archiving all these
"voice memos" I have taken on my phone
over the years, because they're really rad,
and I want to archive them and collect them
in a different way. So here is the first one:

In the spring of 2010 I was on a flight from
Los Angeles to Chicago with my mother.
It was cheaper for us to sit in different parts
of the plane, so I was alone when I recorded this.
Just before we landed, the flight attendant went on the
loudspeaker and sang us Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable"
It was magic.
And now you can hear it.
(more to come!)
